Hi everyone!! Welcome back hehe. Another day, another entry with me. Today's weather is such a blessing. I had a great day today so yeah lets move to another tool for digital teaching. The tool is Pear Deck. 

Pear Deck is an interactive presentation tool used to actively engage students in individual and social learning. Teachers create presentations using their Google Drive account. Students log into the presentation with unique access codes and interact with questions while teachers monitor student and whole-class progress. Pear Deck is a freemium service ; teachers and schools can access a wide array of tools an resources for free or opt to subscribe to  premium account

Pear Deck has been amazing for just in-time teaching. it allows classroom to feel more like a tutoring session rather than normal lecture class. We can see how student engage learning in class. This will allow to make whole class adjustments, small group adjustments and meeting one-to-one if necessary.

Students can respond individually to questions and teachers can share responses anonymously

Ask questions and create activities to support active learning

Add a variety of question types, although some are premium only

The cons of this tool is that lack of built-in-follow-ups to student answers. Key features like the session dashboard require a premium subscription. This will limit the activity on this tool. Thus, will make the students bored. While it has some limits, this engaging useful presentation is a great option for formative assessment in one-to-one or BYOD classrooms.
